As our Receptionist, you'll be the driving force behind our day-to-day operations. You will be the first friendly face visitors see; the voice that greets callers; and the organisational wizard who keeps our team firing on all cylinders.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Welcoming clients and coordinating meeting spaces.
  • Managing supplies, organising events, and supporting our advisers and Directors.
  • Handling incoming calls and post, arranging client gifts and catering.
  • Keeping our office looking sharp and pitching in on everything from charity initiatives to Christmas decorations.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors (clients and providers) to the office and offering drinks.
  • Taking deliveries from couriers and stationery orders.
  • Making drinks for Directors.
  • Ensuring general upkeep of meeting rooms and booking rooms where necessary for consultants, staff, and Directors.
  • Sending gifts to clients on behalf of a consultant.
  • Organising platters and buffets for visiting clients or Consultant training sessions.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel, introducing all calls and transferring in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Opening all incoming post, ensuring it is distributed to the relevant department and recorded correctly.
  • Collecting and franking all outgoing post.
  • Helping organise any charity work.
  • Organising Christmas decorations for the office.
  • Managing petty cash.
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels for stationery, coffee, fruit, milk, tuck shop, cleaning supplies.
  • Organising the car cleaning each week.
  • Helping distribute birthday, wedding, and baby cards for staff.
  • Assisting with bulk mailing, printing, stuffing, and franking envelopes.
  • Able to handle difficult phones in a calm and polite manner.
  • Monitoring the ask us inbox.
  • Booking taxis for clients/visitors where needed.

Experience & Skills

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a receptionist or PA experience. They should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take the initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multitask.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • IO experience would be desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Salary is dependent on experience. 34.5 hours per week. 5% Employer contribution and 5% Employee minimum of Group Pension. 4x Salary of Life Assurance. Group Income Protection at core level, covering 50% of reference salary. Core benefit of the Health Cash Plan, covering level 1. 25 Days Holiday Allowance (plus 8 days statutory). This increases to 26 days at 2 years of service, 27 days at 3 years, 28 days at 4 years etc.
