The Role

We are looking for a skilled, customer‑focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will handle planned preventive maintenance (PPM), respond to reactive repairs, and ensure accurate job reporting through our mobile maintenance platform (BigChange). Your work will help us maintain high standards across our properties and keep residents happy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled PPM tasks and annual safety checks.
  • Diagnose and resolve reactive maintenance issues promptly.
  • Carry out general building fabric repairs (joinery, plumbing, decorating).
  • Perform basic electrical tasks.
  • Maintain clear, accurate job cards with photos and materials used.
  • Communicate professionally with residents and colleagues.
  • Install LVT, vinyl and hardwood flooring.
  • Execute full bathroom, shower room and kitchen refurbishments.
  • Clearing property and furniture removals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a team and report directly to the maintenance manager, while also demonstrating the ability to act and work independently when necessary.

  • A passion for carrying out work to a high-quality standard is vital.
  • Familiarity with mobile job management systems (BigChange experience ideal).
  • Strong health & safety awareness.
  • Enthusiastic approach to challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
