We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to launch and lead our intimate, ambitious restaurant on its journey to achieving a Michelin star. This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic, detail-oriented leader with a passion for community hospitality, elevated food and beverage, unparalleled service, and operational excellence. The right candidate will be a jack of all trades that loves to roll up their sleeves and deliver excellence consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring precision and exceptional service.
  • Develop and adapt processes and procedures that aim to increase guest satisfaction and increase operational efficiency.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team committed to excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and ownership to elevate the dining experience.
  • Drive business performance while maintaining the highest culinary and service standards.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Manage business costs as needed to ensure they stay within budgeted parameters.
  • Control and drive bookings, while taking the lead on greeting guests and forming lasting relationships.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fine dining management, ideally with Michelin exposure.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and dedication to exceptional guest experiences.
  • Financial management expertise with a strategic growth mindset.
  • Passion for gastronomy and a deep understanding of Michelin standards.
  • An empathetic and nurturing leadership style that fosters development.
  • Skilled and competent at all aspects of Front of House service.
  • Previous experience leading new openings is desirable, but not crucial.

Qualifications:

  • WSET Level 3 or higher.
  • Barista level 2 or higher.
  • Personal license holder.
  • First-Aid certified.
  • Fire Marshall.
  • SIA Certification (desirable).
