We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team, supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years' hands-on payroll administration experience , who enjoys working with data and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll activities in line with deadlines
- Maintain and input accurate payroll data (starters, leavers, pay changes)
- Record and validate time & attendance, absence, sickness, and holiday data
- Produce payslips and ensure accuracy of all payroll outputs
- Review exception reports, investigate discrepancies, and make corrections
- Manage statutory deductions and liaise with HMRC and external bodies
- Support pension administration, including auto-enrolment compliance
- Assist with BACS payment processing
- Respond to employee payroll queries within agreed SLAs
- Support payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- At least 1-3 years' payroll administration experience (essential)
- Strong data entry and accuracy skills with high attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements
- Experience using payroll systems ( Resourcelink experience highly desirable )
- Confidence using Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- A proactive, customer-focused approach
