As an Operations Coordinator you will support and assist the Partners of the network, following the procedures and rules of TPN and ensure that the company's interest is always protected

  • Fixed-term maternity cover until November 2027
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday rotating, 6.00-15.00 / 9.00-18.00
  • Pay rate: £13.21 per hour

Key Duties of a Operations Coordinator

  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all members.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationship with all other departments.
  • Carry out members requests where appropriate by both telephone and e-mail.
  • To mediate between members in disagreement, ensuring members actions have been carried out in accordance with The Pallet Network operation manual.
  • Assist members in arranging overspill vehicles and couriers where appropriate.
  • Carry out varied administrative duties.
  • Deal with any problems as promptly as possible e. g. mis-routes, couriers etc ensuring that all options are explored prior to organising couriers.
  • Update the hub information board for relevant comments concerning the day operation.
  • To ensure that the handover from the Night Manager is acted upon and to compile a handover to the Night Shift of any relevant points applicable to the night operation.
  • Mediate on disputes between members ensuring action is taken in accordance with the rules of the network as laid down in the manual.
  • Refer to the Team leader/line manager any unresolved or escalated problems.
  • Raise company Purchase Orders when required.
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Make the Operations Manager aware of any situations which could impact adversely on the company.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all Members and colleagues and always liaise fairly and without favouritism.
  • Ensure that handovers between day and night shifts are concise and understood.

Previous experience of working in a high-level administrative role.

  • Capable of working under pressure to deadlines and objectives.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Great attention to detail.
