We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Warehouse Operative to join our Lutterworth team, supporting a busy retail warehouse operation in a modern, fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in keeping stock moving safely, accurately and efficiently while working as part of a supportive and dependable team.
This is a full‑time, permanent position working 12‑hour night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including weekends, from 18:00 - 06:00
The role is based in a chilled warehouse environment, so you will need to be comfortable working in temperatures between 2 and 5 degrees.
You will also be operating in a high-level racking environment of up to 14 metres, so confidence and experience using a Reach Truck at height is essential.
Salary: £30,424.68 per annum plus shift allowances plus allowances (Attendance Allowance - £1000 per year and Banked hours allowance of £1500 per year)
What you'll be doing
- Operating a PPT and a Reach Truck (FLT) to move stock safely and efficiently
- Confident working to clear targets and KPI's and delivering strong performance
- Loading, unloading, and picking of stock and orders within the chilled warehouse
- Loading and unloading different type of trailers using RF Gun to scan pallets
- Assemble customer orders from the order profile.
- Ensure the correct amount of product is picked.
- Maintain high levels of Health & Safety at all times.
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping throughout the warehouse
What we're looking for
- A valid PPT truck licence is essential
- A valid D1 or D2 Reach Truck licence is essential, along with previous Reach Truck operating experience. Internal or external licences will be considered.
- For candidates with the right attitude and experience we are happy to consider training to ensure you have the correct PPT and Reach Truck licences
- Comfortable working in a chilled warehouse environment.
- Confident working to targets and KPI standards in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong verbal communication and numerical accuracy.
