As a Driver Trainer you will be responsible for delivering driver related training, whilst evaluating and monitoring the impact of training on CLL Drivers.

Working hours: Monday to Friday,

Key Duties of a Driver Trainer

  • Deliver in house, periodic Driver CPC training.
  • Deliver training relating to drivers' hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new starters and existing drivers.
  • Provide new starter training / inductions.
  • Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing needs and ensuring all needs are met at all times.
  • Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
  • Keep and maintain up to date and accurate records of all driver training undertaken.
  • Liaise with the Transport Management team as necessary in order to maximise benefits for all training provided.
  • Monitor the standard of driving and provide information, advice and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport and HR.
  • Complete risk assessments and safe working practices for our sites customer sites and delivery points.
  • Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours.
  • Attention to detail/ accuracy.
  • Essential skills in LGV C&E Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Qualified to Advanced driving level would be desirable.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
