We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Haverhill, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Various day shift and night shift available inclusive of some weekend work. £42,205.68 per annum (5 on 3 off).

Shift Premiums:

  • 12:00-19.59: + £10.00 per shift
  • 20:00-03.59: + £15.00 per shift

Overtime Rates:

  • Monday to Friday: £17.24/hr
  • Saturday: £20.49/hr
  • Sunday: £23.30/hr

Additional Earnings:

  • Driver duty premium (11+ hour shifts)
  • Performance bonus
  • Night out allowance: £25 per night
  • Shift allowances (where applicable)

Please note: role involves planned and occasional unplanned night outs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
  • Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres.
  • Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites.
  • No Cage work or Tipping.
  • Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
  • Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
  • Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Valid C+E Licence.
  • Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
  • We will consider new pass drivers!
  • No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
  • Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
  • Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
  • Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
