Transport Operations Support will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.

Salary: £31,687.53 per annum.

Shift: 5 on 2 off nights, 19.00-03.30

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator:

  • Correctly debriefing drivers.
  • Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
  • Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
  • Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
  • Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
  • Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
  • Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
  • Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
  • Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
  • Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail/ accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.
