We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Management Accountant, based at our Great Bear Mansfield site. As an Assistant Management Accountant you will contribute to the overall success of the site, reporting directly to the site Management Accountant responsible for delivering Management Information to the General Manager, Operations team, Finance and the Board. You will also be responsible for the production of daily, weekly and monthly finance reporting to a review level.
Key Responsibilities:- Production of the weekly costings for Great Bear/ Kerry Ingredients operation run from our customer-focused site at Mansfield
- Preparation of Management Accounts including posting journals
- Investigation and explanation of variances in the Management Accounts
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Invoice and credit control customers and update the Company cash forecast
- Deal with site suppliers invoice queries
- Assist with the annual forecast / budget process
- Collate and issue various internal reports, stats, KPI's
- Manage weekly & monthly payroll using Kronos. Maintain personnel records, to ensure all staff paid correctly
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects
- Support the site, raising PR's/PO's, Expenses, as required.
- Part qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Experience of working in a similar industry is an advantage
- Highly proficient in using IT, including MS Office and SAP accounting software
- Excel is a key management information tool, a sound knowledge of spreadsheet writing and analysis of data is essential
- Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral
- Good communicator at all levels including, operational warehouse and transport managers and staff, customers, suppliers and other internal staff
- Good team-player with the drive to see tasks through to completion and meet deadlines set
- Inquisitive in nature with the ability to take initiative, looking for constant development and improvement of procedures
- Excellent attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy
