Reporting into the Customer Solutions Manager, the Commercial Coordinator will ensure accurate and compliant sales pricing across all systems by maintaining rate cards with robust version control and audit trails. The role focuses on preventing revenue leakage, reducing customer queries, and driving continuous improvement in pricing processes and governance, whilst ensuring clear communication to all stakeholders. This role is critical to protecting working capital and supporting healthy cash flow by ensuring timely, accurate billing and preventing pricing-related disputes.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Key Duties of a Commercial Coordinator:
- Configure, maintain and update rate cards for transport and warehouse services, ensuring strict version control and audit trail.
- Ensure all pricing methodologies are applied consistently in accordance with agreed structure.
- Collaborate with the Finance Operations Centre, IT, Operations, Commercial and, if required, customers to ensure seamless billing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rate-related/billing queries.
- Monitor the Interfaces between the pricing engine and S/4Hana.
- Monitor revenue impacts of rate card changes.
- Reduce customer queries by ensuring accurate pricing data and clear communication of changes.
- Monitor billing for new and existing customers to ensure rate cards are generating the correct output.
- Perform invoice-to-rate-card reconciliation and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Prevent revenue leakage by accurately implementing customer contracts through precise rate card configuration, ensuring full alignment with agreed commercial terms.
- Subject Matter Expert - Provide training and guidance to colleagues as required, in addition to ensuring processes are documented, to allow for smooth knowledge transfer.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, process standardisation, and stakeholder training ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Provide support to internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of the billing engine within the WMS/TMS.
- Previous experience of Company specific rate card maintenance essential.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills (LOOKUPs, IFs) and data validation expertise.
- Effective communicator with a strong focus on business partnering.
- Ability to interpret and apply commercial agreements to operational systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving, continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or transport sector preferred.
