Job Description
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Operations Controller to join our friendly team in Sheffield on a full-time, permanent basis.
Salary: £30,989 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.
The Operations Controller will support the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient scheduling for inbound receipts and outbound loads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage outbound schedules to meet collection and delivery times.
- Issue instructions to staff for smooth inbound and outbound operations.
- Control outbound paperwork, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Be the first point of contact for drivers arriving on site.
- Communicate issues to Shift Managers promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Participate actively in the operations team, suggest improvements, and focus on efficiency, customer service, and quality.
- Maintain good communication with transport providers to prevent late collections and delivery failures.
- Provide detailed handovers to the next shift, highlighting potential issues and current status.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar fast-paced role.
- Ability to prioritize work based on schedules and resources.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook with high attention to detail.
- Team player capable of working independently.
- In-depth knowledge of on-site systems, including Autostore and RF equipment.
- Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards customers and third-party hauliers.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
