Joining a growing and evolving Procurement function, a successful Supplier Relationship Manager will be a flexible, proactive and resilient individual, capable of working in a fast paced environment with competing demands on their time. Working across Culina Group, a Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for the performance and risk management of key suppliers, as well as the identification and delivery of value add opportunities. You will optimise Culina Groupβs financial performance, business resilience and quality of goods and services received from suppliers.
Key responsibilities of a Supplier Relationship Manager
- Contribution to the departmental savings targets
- Performance management of key suppliers, optimising delivery
- Risk management of key suppliers and key categories, in order to minimise any supply chain issues Culina Group might face
- Creation and implementation of strategic category plans, in conjunction with Sourcing Managers
- Constantly looking for opportunities to drive more value from the relationship, via cost saving (demand, specβ, supply chain), revenue generation, working capital gain, sustainability gain etc.
- Ensuring the supplier performs in line with agreed SLAs; constantly ensuring expectations of supplier are aligned to business need
- Assessing market and supplier for risk posed to Culina Group, and finding ways to mitigate them
Qualifications
- Proven ability to identify and implement value add commercial solutions, in a fast paced multi-site organisation
- Proven ability to effectively and proactively manage multiple and potentially conflicting stakeholders
- Keen commercial and financial understanding, driving creative and market leading value solutions
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders to drive an optimised outcome
- Proven ability to lead the creation of market leading strategic category plans, taking into account performance, risk and value
- Confident and timely contract drafting and execution, drawing on Legal support when appropriate
- Proactive pipeline creation and management
- Confident and effective communicator, successfully influencing decisions at all levels
- Confident in challenging not only the supply chain model, but also the demand for and specification of the goods / service
- A general commercial mindset, always seeking to identify opportunities to add value
