This role will lead and evolve our marketing and external communications function across the group, responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the group's marketing and external communications needs. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand(s), driving market engagement and demand generation, whilst also enhancing our market presence within the sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and implementing a Group Marketing & External Communications strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Partnering closely with Business Unit CEOs and the Group Management Team to embed marketing as a core business function.
- Providing strategic counsel on market positioning, customer engagement, and brand development.
- Developing an annual marketing roadmap that outlines key campaigns, initiatives, and milestones.
- Ensuring the plan supports both central and business unit-level objectives.
- Owning the tone, quality, and consistency of all external communications.
- Overseeing the creation of thought leadership, case studies, and digital content that reflects the companyβs strategic narrative.
- Providing hands-on leadership in developing high-impact campaigns and strategic content.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Establishing reporting and measurement of marketing performance to demonstrate impact on sales, lead generation, and brand visibility.
What we're looking for:
- Senior marketing and communications experience, ideally within logistics, supply chain, FMCG, or B2B service industries.
- Proven track record in developing and executing group-wide marketing strategies that directly support sales and lead generation.
- Experience managing both brand and external communications, including strategy & initiative communication (e.g. sustainability, new products, site launches) to external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage brand transformation and deliver consistent, high-quality communication across multiple channels.
- Background in coaching & supporting executives on corporate influencer positioning.
- Budget ownership experience, including planning and managing marketing and communications spend.
- Leadership experience in building and managing lean, high-performing marketing teams.
