Overview
IPS is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions.
We are now currently recruiting for Line Leader on a part time basis at our IPS Markham Vale site.
Shifts: Monday-Friday rotating shift.
Salary: Β£13.51 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that that the Production Line under their charge maximises the utilisation of the following 3 main resources of the business.
- Reporting and communicating all issues affecting Production effectively.
- Ensuring that all finished products and donor stocks always maintain their traceability and in accordance with the Culina IPS Production and Quality Procedures
- Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
- Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
- Effectively maximise production efficiency, to ensure plans are met on a hourly/daily basis
- Adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations
- Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
- Assisting in developing a skills matrix for all production workers
- Assisting in training and development of new starters
- Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
- Knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
- Able to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour)
- Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
- Displays a positive attitude to change
- Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance.
- Experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities
- Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes
- Preferably food or packing experience
