Reporting to General Manager, the Warehouse Manager will support site management team in the successful delivery of KPI’s and business requirements at the site. Working with the site management team to help ensure effective systems are in place to maintain optimum service levels. You will take a proactive approach to managing performance of the site and the people, identifying areas of development and supporting in line with succession & development plans.

Working hours: Monday to Friday nights, 20.00-06.00 (Flexibility required to cover an occasional shift over a weekend)

Key Duties of a Warehouse Manager:

  • Overall responsibility of the warehouse operation and warehouse management system ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met and costs are controlled.
  • Management and development of people, ensuring that team issues are resolved effectively and decisions are consistent and in line with company policy.
  • Overall responsibility of site Health and Safety and Compliance including management of BRC and NEBOSH accreditations.
  • Produce, analyse and provide feedback on daily, weekly, and monthly reports relating to performance and finance.
  • Overall responsibility for site services, ensuring that buildings, racking and general yard are kept to a high standard.
  • Ensuring the projects run to schedule and to budget, overseeing schedules of work, and finding solutions to problems that may cause delay.
  • Ensuring that quality control procedures are maintained, visual inspection of work and frequent tours of the site and regular site safety checks are undertaken.
  • Ensure company procedures are followed and all activities are undertaken with due care and in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Liaise with customers to maintain existing contracts and implementing new business or grow existing business.
  • Playing a major role in on and off site meetings with internal and external customers to ensure requirements are met.
  • Oversee the implementation of new business.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring productivity and activity is managed in line with budget identifying improvement plans to improve performance and reduce cost.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.
  • Good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation.
  • Great knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong and effective communicator at all levels.
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
