Job Description
Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Support to join our friendly team at our Deeside site on a 6 month fixed term basis.
Salary: £28,366 per annum, plus £2,000 shift premium, plus £2,000 night shift allowance.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 7pm-7am.
The purpose of an Operations Support is to provide a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to the Warehouse to ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function on-site.
Key Duties of an Operations Support:
- Work closely with 3rd parties on external systems.
- Assisting the Picking and Packing Team by providing Engineering solutions to assist in an Operational capacity.
- Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.
- Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance.
- Follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to Health and Safety and COMAH Regulations.
- Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are adhered to.
- Providing weekly reports to management team on status of operational equipment.
- Proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.
Qualifications
Technical knowledge and experience in working with the following equipment is desirable:
- Checkweighers.
- Pallet wrapping m/c.
- Shrink wrapping.
- Various bespoke hand packing/labelling lines with printers.
- MCS.
- Printer Management.
- Device Management.
- Staff Maintenance (such as passwords and access levels).
- Conveyor systems.
You will be expected to demonstrate competence in the following areas:
- Patching of Dumb Terminals and Printers.
- Label Printer set-up and maintenance.
- Network patching of laptops and printer to pack benches.
- Systems/Peripheral Configuration.
- Local Control of IT Asset Management.
- General Troubleshooting and Fault Finding.
