Job Description We are currently seeking a Customer Controller to join our Customer Service team at our Warrington site. As a Customer Controller, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, offering excellent contract support and customer service in a fast-paced, encouraging environment to ensure a professional service to Stobart customers. Shift: 4 fixed nights (4 on 3 off) Working hours: 44 hours per week, including an hour\’s unpaid break each shift, as follows: Tuesday: 18:00 – 02:00 Wednesday to Friday: 18:00 – 06:00 Salary: £26,416 per annum. Key Duties of Customer Controller: Act as the first point of contact with our customers regarding their deliveries, from collection to delivery, escalating issues as needed. Ensure all customer orders are accurately created on ESL in-house system for delivery as per customer requirements. Liaise with Planning Teams and action change requests to ensure consignments are collected and delivered accordingly. Handle Driverline calls. Coordinate with Forecasting, Planning, and AM teams regarding additional or short-notice loads and any extra costs involved. Monitor customer delivery compliance proactively and investigate late or failed deliveries, reporting findings as required. Ensure the accuracy of reported information, seeking sign-off from the CS Manager when necessary. Learn and utilize customer-specific systems. Capture and report all additional costs within the agreed timeframe. Complete reports such as Customer dashboards and discrepancy reports, liaising with the CS Manager / Account Manager. Ensure all consignments are rated accurately according to our Commercial rate card and within timescales. Complete a daily task list to confirm all requirements are fulfilled before the end of the day. Support the Customer Service team as needed. Stay updated with news, vacancies, and process updates via the ESL Intranet system. Qualifications: Previous experience in a customer service environment or similar role. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good geographical knowledge. Strong numeracy and literacy skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Conscientious, reliable, and adaptable. Driving license and personal transport are essential to access the site.
