We go the extra mile to provide competitive and dependable logistics solutions across the UK and are now part of “The Pallet Network’s” owned operations, also under the umbrella of “The Culina Group.” We are now recruiting for Class 2 Collection and Delivery Drivers for our site in Crawley.

Job Description

  • Shift: Monday‑Friday - Start times from 07:00am.
  • Salary: ÂŁ35,500 basic per annum.
  • To deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
  • Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
  • Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.
  • Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive.
  • Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times.
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
  • Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks.
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
  • Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications

  • Possession of Class 2 Licence.
  • Current CPC.
  • Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.

Additional Information

  • Overtime rates paid after 10 hours worked on weekdays, daily at 1.25hrs.
  • Overtime rates for Saturdays at 1.50hrs.
  • Tiered salary increases.
  • Periodic CPC training arranged and funded by Eezehaul.
  • 3% Pension Contribution.

  • 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays, rising yearly up to the maximum of 34.
  • All vehicles supplied with an electric pallet truck.
