Eddie Stobart is currently looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team in Sittingbourne. The role is based on a Morrisons site in Sittingbourne and involves store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, and can include manual handling, drop and swaps, and general trunking.
Available shifts and start times:
- Start times will be 01:15am or 01:45am, with a two-hour start window.
- Shifts include:
- Tuesday-Saturday
- Thursday-Monday
- Monday-Friday 05:00am-06:00am, including Knauff work requiring curtain and strapping
Salary:
Starting from £42,304 per annum based on an average of 54 hours per week. The pay rates are:
- Monday-Friday Days - £15.00/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
- Monday-Friday Nights - £16.30/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payment)
- Saturday and Sunday Days - £18.00/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payments)
- Saturday and Sunday Nights - £18.50/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payments)
- Bank Holidays - £18.81/hour (including Meal allowance and Tier Payments)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
- Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
- No more than 6 points on your Licence with no DD/DR convictions
- Understanding of Driver's hours and WTD legislation
- Ability to perform vehicle checks and report defects
- Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
