Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) provides distribution services to FMCG clients. Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture.

We are looking for reliable and motivated MHE Operatives to join Great Bear at our Markham Vale 1 site joining a busy ambient warehouse operation. Working across our Distribution site, you will play a key role in keeping products moving safely, accurately and efficiently through the warehouse.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with previous MHE experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment and are confident operating equipment such as reach trucks and PPTs, while supporting loading, inbound and stock movement activity.

Shift pattern: 5 from 7 rotating, 6am-2pm / 2pm - 10pm

Salary: £13.13 per hour plus overtime paid at time and half

What you'll be doing:

  • Operate MHE safely and efficiently, including Reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment where required.
  • Support the movement, replenishment and put-away of stock within the warehouse.
  • Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity while following site procedures.
  • Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks in line with operational standards.
  • Use scanners or warehouse systems accurately to help maintain stock integrity.
  • Work closely with the wider warehouse team to keep the operation moving at pace.

Qualifications:

  • We require evidence of training on either a reach truck or VNA within a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
  • The certification needs to show novice training with the hours spent on the training.
  • In-house licences from previous employers can be considered, provided you have relevant practical experience.
  • We can take people with only refresher certification but due to our H & S rules their training on site will be longer before they can drive the MHE.
  • A strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.
  • A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.
  • Availability to work a 5 from 7 rotating shift pattern.
