It provides chilled, ambient, contract packaging, and bonded logistics services, as well as value-added services, such as online visibility and systems integration, pallet management, and supply chain management.
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to join our leading logistics business, where your expertise will be vital in strategically attracting and securing talent to strengthen our operational capabilities and drive business success.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead and manage the salaried recruitment team. This role is responsible for delivering approximately 1,000 hires per year through a team of Recruitment Partners and Advisors, ensuring a seamless, high-quality candidate experience and strong alignment with business objectives. The Talent Acquisition Manager will act as a strategic partner to Business Unit leadership teams and HR Business Partners, driving workforce planning, stakeholder engagement, and recruitment excellence.
Ownership for:
- Team Leadership - Manage and develop a team of recruiters, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices. Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and foster a culture of collaborative and continuous improvement.
- Recruitment Delivery - Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes for Indirect roles across multiple business units and functions. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of approximately 1,000 hires annually while maintaining quality standards.
- Data & Insight - Own and monitor recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, fill rates) and provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.
- Process & Performance Optimisation - Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, technology usage (ATS – automation and AI), and candidate engagement.
- Stakeholder Management - Build strong relationships with BU leadership teams and HRBPs to understand workforce needs and align recruitment strategies. Act as a trusted partner on talent acquisition best practices, market insights, and candidate experience. Attend meetings with BU leadership teams to present on performance and market insight.
- Strategic Workforce Planning - Partner with HR and business leaders to forecast hiring needs, develop a workforce plan and proactive sourcing strategies to deliver this.
- Compliance & Reporting - Ensure adherence to right-to-work checks and other regulatory requirements. Provide regular reporting on recruitment performance to senior stakeholders.
- Executive Search - Work with the Recruitment Director on leadership group recruitment where targeted searches are required.
- Supplier & Agency Management - Working closely with our agency providers for Indirect recruitment, oversee the PSL.
Experience Required:
- Proven track record of managing salaried / indirect recruitment teams in large scale, multi-site organisations (£1bn+) with complex recruitment needs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Data-driven approach with ability to analyse and act on recruitment metrics.
- Knowledge of recruitment technology (ATS) and sourcing tools having delivered automation and AI functionality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
