Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Driver Trainer to join the Transport team at Culina Logistics Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for delivering driver related training, evaluating and monitoring the impact of training on Culina Drivers.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Salary: £44,878.69 per annum.
Key Duties of a Driver Trainer:
- Deliver in house, periodic Driver CPC training.
- Deliver training relating to drivers hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new starters and existing drivers.
- Use Fueltek and Microlise performance statistics and deliver training to proactively manage the driver performance.
- Provide new starter training / Inductions.
- Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing Culina needs and ensuring all needs are met at all times.
- Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
- Keep and maintain up to date and accurate records of all driver training undertaken.
- Liaise with the Transport Management team as necessary in order to maximise benefits for all training provided, ensuring that all training is relevant and in line with best practice.
- Monitor the standard of Culina Drivers driving and provide information, advice and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport and HR.
- Complete risk assessments and safe working practices for Culina sites, customer sites and delivery points.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Driver Trainer or Instructor.
- Class 1 licence required.
- CPC is essential.
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers hours.
- Attention to detail/ accuracy.
- Adaptable approach to work and training.
- Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
- A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
- Able to work as part of a team or individually.
- Able to manage effectively and communicate to the correct level.
- Qualified to Advanced driving level would be desirable.
- Excellent presentation skills.
