The role of a School Bus Driver is to drive the pupils to and from school in a safe and efficient manner.

Pay Rate: £10,978 per annum, independent school term time.

Hours Of Work: Monday – Friday Morning, Evening. Additional 2 hours of cleaning buses. Total hours 22 hours, contracted, term time only.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently collect and drop pupils to and from school.
  • Cleaning of buses where needed.
  • Build relationships with our pupils and parents to ensure a high standard of service is achieved.
  • Safeguard Pupils.
  • Report any maintenance issues with buses.
  • Cover where required.

Person Specification:

  • Essential Qualifications: D1 Licence
  • Desirable: First Aid
  • Develop positive on-going working relationships throughout the department and the school.
  • Ability to recognise issues and deal with queries professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements within the role.
  • Good communication skills.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Good flexibility.
