About the Flodigarry Hotel: The Flodigarry Hotel is a small, family run hotel situated in the small village of Flodigarry, on the Isle of Skye. The Hotel is surrounded by private grounds all of which looks out to one of the most breath-taking views Scotland has to offer. The Isle of Skye is an incredibly popular holiday destination with people visiting from around the world. It is important that the successful candidate is comfortable working in a fast paced environment but most importantly shares our goal, providing guests with our famous highland hospitality we are known for, ensuring they leave with incredible memories of their experience.
Receptionist Duties include:
- 5 set shifts a week on reception, alternating between morning shifts and afternoon/evening shifts
- Morning shifts consist of checking guests out of the hotel, taking room billing payments and supporting balancing of tills for the end of day
- Afternoon shifts consist of checking guests in to the hotel, helping with luggage, advising guests on hotel amenities, breakfast and dinner service timings
- All shifts consist of taking payments for advance bookings, dealing with guest enquiries via email, telephone, face to face, dinner bookings, liaising with the Restaurant Manager and restaurant team, the Reception Manager and colleagues across other departments
- Using reception databases such as Reslynx Res-Diary, Trust Payments, Lightspeed etc.
Skills/Qualities Required:
- Experience is preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided
- Passion and a genuine interest in hospitality
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Comfortable working days and nights

- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks
