We are looking for dedicated Care Support Staff to join our amazing team at Berkeley Park. We welcome both experienced support workers and care staff, and people who are new to the care sector and have the right values and attitudes. Berkeley Park is a Specialist Care Home which provides person centred, rehabilitative care services for people aged 18 years and above who may have mental health, complex needs and/or acquired brain injury with complex needs.
We are looking for reliable people who are caring, kind and wanting a new role in a well-established and happy home. Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart, it’s about making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home. And, whether you’re helping someone with personal care, limited mobility or offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident you’ll always have their well‑being in mind above anything else.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to residents in line with their individual needs and care plans.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities as required.
- Support residents with limited mobility and help maintain dignity and comfort.
- Offer emotional support to residents who are distressed or confused.
- Engage in general activities within the care home to promote well‑being and quality of life.
- Demonstrate care and compassion, maintain excellent interpersonal relations, and work collaboratively with the team.
- Keep residents safe, calm, and well‑supported, especially in times of crisis.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate care and compassion to those we support.
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work well in a team.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure or in times of crisis.
- Warm, empathetic manner with the desire to provide high‑quality care and go the extra mile.
We are recruiting for full time Day shifts, 3 or 4 days per week to include alternate weekends. Day Shifts: 7.45am-8.15pm Shifts/hours to be confirmed upon interview.
