CUDO builds and operates AI infrastructure, and we are scaling quickly. Our People processes have grown with us, adapting as the business has changed. They were not designed for the company we are now, or the one we are becoming. Some work well and need refining, some need a rethink, and there are gaps we need to fill. We need People processes that are built for where CUDO is going.
The challenge
When processes evolve one fix at a time, they work, but not always well together. Managers and employees spend more time on admin than they should. Some parts of the employee experience are well supported while others are not. As we grow, those inconsistencies become harder to manage and they get in the way of the business we are building.
We need someone to step back, look at our People processes as a whole and design them for the next stage of CUDO's growth. That means refining what works, rebuilding what does not and creating what is missing. The goal is a People function that helps us build high-performing teams, raise engagement and give people the time and tools to do their best work. It also has to meet the security and compliance standards expected of an AI infrastructure business.
This is a project role with a clear finish line. Over 6 to 12 months, you will build the processes, systems and automation that our permanent team will run and develop after you hand over. We move quickly and need strong processes in place soon, so you will deliver early improvements while you shape the longer-term framework.
You will start before our People Change & Capability Lead joins, so the early direction is yours to set. When they arrive, you will bring them up to speed and work together on rollout and adoption.
What you will own
- Understanding where we are. You will work with our People Partner and Head of People & Business Support to find out what works, what needs improving and where the gaps are. You will look at our processes, policies, systems and employee touchpoints through the eyes of employees, managers and the People team.
- The plan. You will build a prioritised roadmap and design an end-to-end People process framework with clear ownership at every stage, built for the size CUDO is becoming.
- The employee lifecycle. You will redesign or create workflows across recruitment, onboarding, employee changes, performance, absence, development, engagement and offboarding.
- Less admin, more impact. You will design and deliver practical AI and automation that take routine work off people's desks, so managers can spend their time leading and employees can focus on their work. You will work with Information Security, Legal and technical colleagues to make sure data protection, access controls and human oversight are in place.
- The platform decision. You will assess our HiBob configuration, automation, integrations and reporting, and get the most out of it. If it will not meet our future needs, you will evaluate alternatives and make an evidence-based case for change.
- Controls by design. You will build ISO 27001 and SOC 2 requirements, traceable approvals and evidence into processes as standard, so they adapt to future accreditation or regulatory needs.
- Handover to business as usual. You will own testing, process maps, standard operating procedures and a documented handover, so the permanent team can run everything you build.
