The purpose of this role is to strengthen and scale the finance function as the business grows. You’ll take ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, cash flow and treasury, while building robust processes and improving existing ways of working. The role will provide greater financial visibility across the group, helping teams understand performance and enabling better commercial decision-making. You’ll also support entity management, statutory filings, equity and debt reporting, and finance system improvements. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building effective finance processes within a fast-moving, scaling business.

Requirements

  • Shape Financial Reporting
    • Own and evolve group and entity reporting (via Xero now, moving to a new platform)
    • Build out reporting to include budgets, KPIs, variance analysis, and rolling forecasts - from scratch where it doesn't exist yet
    • Design reporting for each new business sector, monitor and develop.
    • Lead implementation of new policies and rules as the business scales.
    • Assist the management accountant with reporting requirements.
  • Drive Budgeting, Forecasting & KPIs
    • Own departmental budgets end-to-end, including variance analysis and review meetings with budget holders, by project and customer.
    • Build and run a group-wide KPI framework
  • Manage Finance team commitments
  • Own Cash & Treasury
    • Design and deliver a weekly cash flow planner that people actually use - then keep it sharp as assumptions shift
    • Flag challenges before they become problems
    • Manage banking migrations (DDs, standing orders) between providers. Assist with new facilities, FX planning and governance.
  • Manage Entities Across Borders
    • Keep dormant entities compliant, working with external advisors
    • Assist with the formal closure of entities in Portugal, BVI, and Gibraltar
    • Keep KYC/AML documentation Data Room-ready, always
  • Manage Equity & Statutory Filings
    • Manage the equity and debt schedule, SH01 reconciliation, Companies House updates and SeedLegals filings
    • Update the equity schedule as conversion prices are agreed and future funding received.
