Responsible for supporting the development and well-being of children between 3 months and 5 years at Cuddles and Care Day Nursery Wells, part of S&D Childcare Limited. This role is full-time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2/3 CACHE Childcare or equivalent
- Experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Background in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents
- Valid driver's licence preferred (not essential)
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo further training
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Responsibilities
- Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Observe and assess individual children to track progress
- Maintain records of children's achievements and development using an online system
- Build positive relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication
- Liaise with parents/carers to provide feedback on development, progress, and daily activities
- Ensure safety, security, and well-being of the children at all times
- Follow health and safety protocols, including hygiene standards, first aid, and emergency procedures
- Support children during daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, napping, and outdoor play
- Work effectively as part of a team, attending staff meetings and contributing to setting development
