To assist in the day-to-day smooth and efficient running of the bar and catering operations. Constantly striving to help improve standards. Undertake the hands-on elements of the role, as well as administrative tasks such as beer line cleaning and ordering.
Job Location: The Clubhouse and grounds of Cuddington Golf Club.
Responsibilities:
- To assist the F&B Manager in the day-to-day management of the bar and catering operations.
- To monitor and ensure the quality of food and drinks served at the club is to its correct standard.
- To be responsible for cash management including reconciliation of takings.
- To support and be aware of ordering stock and receiving deliveries.
- To ensure that the bar and kitchen equipment is operating correctly and efficiently.
- To maintain high levels of cleanliness and tidiness within the kitchen and bar areas and that Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to.
- To ensure that all F&B areas are set up suitably for their use.
- To be aware of F&B pricing breakdowns for functions and societies, communicating to our office staff that are marketing such events.
- Where necessary to meet with clients to discuss their needs prior to a function.
- Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.
Duties:
- To assist and support lead our team of bar and kitchen staff, communicating effectively to ensure the motivation of these staff, and the smooth running of the bar and kitchen operations.
- To be aware of the recruitment, induction, training, presentation and development of all bar and kitchen staff, including customer service, licensing, and food hygiene where appropriate.
- To be confident in assisting the drawing up of rota’s and when required providing payroll information to our finance team for all bar and kitchen staff, conscious these areas are always appropriately staffed.
Conditions:
- To maintain a food hygiene Level 2 certification, fire warden certification and relevant first aid certification. (All of the courses required to achieve these qualifications will be paid for by the Club).
- To keep up to date with and implement licensing regulations.
- To ensure that all bar and kitchen staff cooperate fully with the club’s H&S policies and audits.
- Have adequate and appropriate training in Health and Safety and incident and fire evacuation procedures.
- To be aware of your requirements under the club’s GDPR and health and safety policies.
