The Role

As a

Senior Worker , you will play a key role in supporting individuals with a range of needs while providing guidance and leadership to care teams.

You will help ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Support
  • Lead by example and promote best practice in person-centred care.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants.
  • Assist with the induction and ongoing development of new team members.
  • Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.
  • Act as a senior point of contact during shifts and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
  • Care & Support Delivery
  • Support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex behaviours, or physical disabilities.
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion in all aspects of daily living.
  • Deliver and oversee personal care, medication administration, and support with daily activities where required.
  • Encourage participation in community activities, education, employment, and social opportunities.
  • Provide emotional support and build positive, professional relationships with service users and their families.
  • Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and support records are accurate, up to date, and reflective of individual needs.
  • Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits, quality checks, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Promote positive behaviour support approaches and use de-escalation techniques when required.
