We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanic for a permanent position at a college we partner with. This role will support the delivery of light vehicle maintenance apprenticeship programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanic professional or trainer with experience in further education or apprenticeships to step into a well-established programme and support learner progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theoretical sessions across Light vehicle apprenticeships
- Support apprentices in developing industry-standard skills and knowledge
- Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback where required
Requirements
- Relevant industry experience in Mechanic (essential)
- Experience delivering training or working with apprentices/learners (preferred)
- Level 3 in light vehicle (Essential)
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work within FE standards) is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
