The Role
To help us deliver on that ambition, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Optical Associate.
You’ll be at the heart of the customer experience — welcoming people into the store, guiding them through frame and lens choices, and bringing our brand, craft, and values to life.
With a blend of technical expertise and warmth, you’ll help create memorable experiences for every customer while supporting the smooth, collaborative running of the store.
- Your key responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service at every stage of the customer journey that is underpinned by our customer experience non-negotiables.
- Communicate the Cubitts brand story, mission and values to enrich the customer experience.
- Assist with frame and lens selection, offering expert product advice tailored to individual needs.
- Accurately dispense prescription and non-prescription lenses, explaining lens options clearly and confidently.
- Perform frame adjustments and basic repairs to ensure the perfect fit.
- Introduce every customer to our Made to Measure service, bringing its craft and purpose to life.
- Maintain a clean, organised store environment, ensuring displays and stock are well-presented.
- Follow GDPR and patient confidentiality guidelines at all times, maintaining trust and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with your team and other departments, fostering a supportive and team-oriented environment.
