The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Barback to join the bar team at The Princess Royal, our vibrant Notting Hill pub known for its beautiful interiors, buzzing atmosphere, and exceptional drinks offering.

The Princess Royal is a much-loved local, welcoming guests for everything from relaxed pints to lively evenings.

As a Barback, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the bar team, ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a hands‑on position perfect for someone eager to learn, work at pace, and be part of a high‑energy, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support bartenders during service by keeping the bar fully stocked and organised.
  • Replenish glassware, ice, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and back‑of‑house areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including deliveries and stock rotation.
  • Work closely with the bar and floor teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Uphold Cubitt House standards of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and team‑focused mindset.
