The Role
We’relookingforanAssistantGeneralManagertojointheteamatThePrincessRoyal,ourdestinationpubintheheartofNottingHill.Withelegantdiningrooms,astunninggardenterrace,andfourboutiquebedrooms,ThePrincessRoyalhasquicklybecomebothaneighbourhoodfavouriteandaLondonhotspotforelevatedfood,wine,andatmosphere.
AsAssistantGeneralManager,you’llsupporttheGMinleadingtheteamanddeliveringmemorableguestexperiences.Thisisahands-onleadershiprolethatblendsoperationalexcellencewithpeopledevelopment.You’llensuresmoothday-to-dayoperationsacrossthebar,restaurant,andbedroomswhileinspiringyourteamtoupholdCubittHouse’shighstandardsofhospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations across the site.
- Lead, train, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
- Drive sales and profitability through smart floor management, guest engagement, and upselling.
- Manage stock, rotas, compliance, and back-of-house systems with efficiency and accuracy.
- Step up to cover for the GM when needed, taking full responsibility for the site.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in premium hospitality, ideally in high-volume restaurants, pubs, or boutique hotels.
- A natural leader who inspires confidence and brings out the best in others.
- Commercially astute with a keen eye for detail and standards.
- Passionate about food, drink, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Adaptable, energetic, and hands‑on approach.
