Overview
We are looking for a Test Support Engineer to join a team working on power device technology. The role involves hands-on fault finding, repair, and testing of in-house equipment, with opportunities to develop skills in automated test systems and software.
Key requirements
- Must hold a British passport.
- Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar).
- Strong fault-finding skills down to component level on custom test equipment.
- Able to work from circuit diagrams.
- Knowledge of semiconductor components such as diodes, transistors, and voltage regulators.
- Able to carry out soldering repairs when required.
- Understands the importance of accurate documentation.
- Works efficiently to return test equipment to production.
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) using off-the-shelf instruments.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW (or other programming languages).
- Interest in developing software skills.
- Ability to suggest improvements to reliability and test processes.
Location
Isle of White – transport from the mainland to the Isle of White including a taxi to site is covered by the employer.
