Contract – £50-60 per hour (Inside IR35)

Location: Dundee (On-site)

We're hiring on behalf of a client looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. The role focuses on design and development of electro-mechanical products used in automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design new components and support existing product updates
  • Work with operations, suppliers, and other teams
  • Ensure design quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Run design reviews, testing, and validation
  • Manage documentation and change control processes
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years in mechanical design, ideally in electromechanical systems
  • Strong CAD skills (ProE/Creo or Solidworks)
  • Knowledge of drive systems, mechanisms, and prototyping
  • Experience with stress/tolerance analysis
  • Good communicator, able to manage multiple projects
  • Open to occasional international travel
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above preferred)
