Job Summary: To carry out all complex electrical repair work on on-street assets, covering PPM and reactive maintenance and workshop duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for provision of all electrical maintenance and repair (reactive and PPM) of all work for on-street assets.
• Undertake Workshop repair if required.
• Act, in conjunction with other Operations Electricians, as electrical lead for on-street assets.
• Ensure daily checks are undertaken on all vehicles and trailers, van is stocked prior to commencement of shift rosters.
• Ensure skills and competencies are in-line with the requirements of the role and the role holder does not put themselves, colleagues, or members of the public at risk conducting electrical (or other) activities without suitable skills and precautions.
• Responsible for quality assurance and sign off of all electrical work.
• Ensure all paperwork and record keeping is completed in accordance with in-force processes and procedures, and in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Responsible for performing all duties in-line with all in-force statutory & regulatory, as well as Cubic & Services Contract specific policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Electrical, Health & Safety, ISO9001-2008, Cubic Management System (CMS), IT & Security, Highways, and Environmental.
• Responsible for responding to questions and/or concerns from members of the public, our Clients or Sponsors as appropriate and in accordance with in-force policies and procedures relating to communications. Escalation and referral to be made to the Team Leader or Field Services Manager.
• Act at all times as a role model for Cubic, our Clients and Sponsors.
• Ensure the identification and reporting of any breaches of security and fraud, and the role holder’s responsibilities around avoidance and reduction in crime, vandalism and abuse relating to Cubic/Cycle Hire assets and staff.
• Complete other duties as directed by the Electrical Supervisor or Field Services Manager.
• Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Background in electrical / electronics maintenance or equivalent for maintenance of on street assets.
• Receive additional training and develop advanced job skills to enable completion of complicated on street Asset maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems.
• C&G Level 3 2330 and NVQ 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition – City & Guilds Qualification.
• Awareness training on the performance requirements of the Services Contract will be provided.
• Must be willing to be fully trained in delivering training courses and present these courses to staff.

Skills knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of Cubic – people, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge / experience of Transport for London.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Inspection & Testing – 2391/2394/5.

Authority/Spans of Control:

• Reporting directly to the Team Leader.
• Quality assurance/peer review and sign off of peers (i.e. other Electricians) work.
