AI-powered code review platform based in London, England.

About the role:

Our mission: Every aspect of the modern world—from finance and agriculture to manufacturing and healthcare—runs on software. Yet as software teams grow, they paradoxically slow down. At cubic, we’re building an AI-native replacement to Github that helps teams collaborate and ship better code, faster. Teams like n8n, Granola, Browser Use and the Linux Foundation use cubic every single day. We’re founded by repeat‑founders, and backed by Y-Combinator.

The role:

We’re looking for our first Founding Product Engineer. A builder with hardcore software engineering skills, plus the autonomy, taste, and pragmatism to be their own PM.

Who you are:

  • You obsess over users and product outcomes: You care just as much about the end-user experience as the tech stack.
  • Comfortable with a modern tech stack: cubic is built on Next.js, React, Prisma, Inngest, Supabase, Modal, and Vercel AI SDK.
  • Comfortable owning features end-to-end —from ideation and development through to deployment, launch, and iteration.
  • Adaptable: You’re excited to wear multiple hats and jump around different parts of the codebase. You’re not afraid to jump into new technologies and prototype quickly.
  • Have a track record of being a self-starter: Side projects and/or open source contributions.
  • You’ve been doing software development for 5+ years.

Why build cubic?

  • Define an entirely new product category.
  • We’re living in a short time window where a small group of builders can shape how we build software in the coming decades.
  • Work directly alongside founders who built and shipped major products at Instagram and Tessian.
  • Impact billions of users: software teams who use cubic are building products that reach billions of users.
