The Delivery Team Member will act as the LVC team customer interface at each delivery location. Duties include preparation of equipment before being deployed, training and issuing synthetic wrap equipment to users, liaising with the customer staff at each delivery location and monitoring the performance of synthetic wrap once in use. Additionally, the Delivery Team Member should be prepared to act as a role player in those instances that the customer cannot supply staff, where possible according to subject matter expertise. Finally, at the end of any delivery the Delivery Team Member is to assist in recovering equipment, including carrying out functional checks for damage and misuse, and then return it to the requisite stores securely.

Delivery Team Members are expected to be computer literate and able to interrogate user access devices in order to perform 1st line fault finding and rectification. All interaction with CDUK’s accredited simulation networks are to conform to SCOPIC 2 SyOps.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Delivery Team Member will conform to shift rosters, any allocation of the schedule of work and interact with the customer and their users in accordance with the directions given by the Delivery Team Leader.
  • Your standard working week will be 37.5 hours, unless otherwise specified in special conditions. Your core hours will be directed by your line manager. During exercise periods there will be a surge of activity which cannot be interrupted and you are therefore expected to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the contract (and your role). Subject to operational requirements, excess hours worked during exercise periods will be accounted for with compensatory rest/time off in lieu.
  • The Delivery Team Member will ensure that users are trained to operate CDUK LVC capabilities and equipment according to role, as directed.
  • Delivery Teams are small, so the Delivery Team Member is to be prepared to attend any briefings and exercise planning meetings that fall within a shift, as directed by the Delivery Team Leader.
  • The Delivery Team Member is to modify delivery as directed, within software, hardware and personnel resource limits, in order to provide the customer with the most effective training experience possible.
  • The Delivery Team Member is to ensure that they team deploy ready and capable of providing service delivery in line with subject matter expertise roles.
  • Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time‑to‑time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Prior employment in a training role.
  • Prior employment in a simulation role, and proven experience working with simulation systems.

Education and Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Non‑Commissioned Officer course, or equivalent service/national course.
  • Graduate of military vocational technical course, or equivalent military engineering technical awareness course.

Working Conditions

In general terms, the role is one that requires the appointee to travel to deliver. The nature of CDUK LVC Team operations are such that ‘working in the field’ will occasionally be necessary and the Delivery Team Member must be prepared to do long working hours during this time. Once training and issue to users is complete, monitoring of in‑use systems takes place from within a building. When not delivering, your place of work will be at a Cubic facility. Working outside of normal hours (including weekends) is expected based on opportunities and the delivery schedule. In addition, the Delivery Team Member must be able to work while travelling, globally.

Resilient and willing to work outdoors on occasions. Ability to build excellent relationships within a team, yet also able to self‑motivate. Excellent communication skills.
