Explore more on Cubic.com.**Job Description**As an apprentice you will work in a supported learning environment to gain relevant qualifications and develop the skills and knowledge required to become a Repair Centre Engineer with the ability to repair and test a wide range of electronic and PC based products. You will also gain knowledge and some experience in other Cubic departments for a broad knowledge of how Cubic functions as a company.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:*** Attend College to further their education in a selected discipline at ONC/HNC level. This is likely to be day release.* Undertake a related National Vocational Qualification as part of the Apprenticeship, and complete all assignments, projects and assessments required for that NVQ.* Learn “business as usual” Repair Centre engineer duties and tasks including data entry on various IT systems and using standard IT packages as part of daily work.* Learn via on the job training with experienced engineers, all aspects of electronic PCB and PC Fault finding and repair down to component level while also learning Electrical and Electronic testing techniques.* Work for short spells in other Cubic departments as part of a planned education program within Cubic, learning key functions of other business areas such as system test, production, field service, stores and engineering.* Understand and comply with all Statutory, Cubic and Customer health and safety requirements as applicable.* Maintain the quality standard required by ISO 9001.* Obtain relevant nationally recognized qualifications.* Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures.
