Our client, one of the UK's leading independent engineering and services businesses specialising in Modular and Offsite Manufacturing, is looking for a reliable, motivated Stores Operative to join their busy stores and logistics team. This is a hands-on role keeping materials moving, stored, and controlled in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment, with a genuine route to a permanent position for the right person. Working Hours – 4-Day Week * Monday to Wednesday: 07:00–17:00 * Thursday: 07:00–16:30 Day shifts only, no weekends. Overtime regularly available on Fridays if wanted, paid at premium rates. Pay & Progression * Grade 1: £13.46 per hour * Grade 2: £14.45 per hour A clear grading structure lets you progress based on performance and capability. What You'll Be Doing * Receiving, checking, and booking in goods * Inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies against paperwork * Moving and storing stock across the warehouse and yard * Keeping stock records and paperwork accurate * Keeping stores and work areas clean, tidy, and organised * Working with the manufacturing shop floor so materials arrive on time * Occasionally using the company pickup to collect and deliver goods * Following all health & safety procedures What You'll Need * Full clean UK driving licence, held for 2+ years * Aged 25 or over, because of the company vehicle insurance requirements * Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or logistics * Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Comfortable in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment * An FLT license would be beneficial, but not essential What's In It For You * 4-day week with Fridays off * Competitive hourly rate with clear progression * Day shifts only, no weekends * Free on-site parking * Training and development Interested?
