As Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and improving processes across the operational areas - from designing new equipment and systems through to supporting new product introduction and championing change management. You will work cross-functionally across production, CI, maintenance and R&D, supported by a Senior Manufacturing Engineer throughout project phases.   • Salary: £40,676 per annum
  • Annual Bonus: Up to £2,200 (non-contractual)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing new systems, equipment and processes to support new product introduction across all operational areas
  • Working cross-functionally from initial product conception through to full production and industrialisation
  • Supporting Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) development meetings
  • Supporting the review and tender stages for new capital equipment, helping to define technical specifications
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to support live projects
  • Supporting PFMEA development and updates in line with process changes
  • Owning the ECR/ECN change management process for projects
  • Liaising with R&D to ensure new products can be assembled with the correct equipment and processes in place
  • Evaluating and improving manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, efficiency and speed
  • Embracing SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) across all projects

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • HND or Foundation Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (ideally working towards a full degree)
  • Understanding of metalworking processes and assembly operations
  • Working knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing BOMs (eBOM/mBOM)
  • Understanding of no fault forward by design principles

Experience

  • Experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, including fixtures and poke yoke
  • Experience commissioning new operations and working as part of project teams

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficient in CAD (2D and 3D) - AutoCAD and Siemens NX preferred
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Good time management across concurrent tasks and projects
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
