£28,744 per annum (£14.74/hour). Fixed-Term Contract (Until End of 2025). Full-Time, Day Shifts. Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm; Fridays 6am to 11.30am.

We\’re urgently recruiting experienced Semi-skilled Assembly Fitters for a world-renowned engineering business with a proud legacy dating back to the 1930s based in Wortley.

Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of cutting-edge machinery used in food and beverage can production. The Role
You\’ll be assembling and testing complex, high-precision OEM machinery in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
- Building sub-assemblies using standard SOPs and fixtures.
- Preparing components for painting (washing and masking).
- Preparing painted components before assembly, such as re-tapping, reaming, and preparing machine surfaces.
- Marking off, drilling, and tapping.
- Fitting exterior equipment: nameplates, labels, guard switches, guarding, hydraulic hoses, and auxiliary pumps.
- Routing steel and nylon pipework as directed.
- Fitting non-electrical machine services before testing.
- Non-electrical stripping of machines before despatch.
What You\’ll Get
- Salary: £28,744 per annum (£14.74/hour)
- Contract: Fixed-Term until end of 2025
- Holiday: 28 days rising to 33 after 12 weeks
- Hours: Full-time, days (no nights!)
- Pension: Enrolment after 12 weeks
