Semi-skilled Assembly Fitters – Fixed-Term Stability | Immediate Start I Multiple Roles available Wortley, Leeds | £28,744 per annum (£14.74/hour) Fixed-Term Contract (Until End of 2025) | Full-Time, Day Shifts Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm; Fridays 6am to 11.30am Secure Work | Global Engineering Leader | High-Spec Projects “Are you experienced with assembling machinery, equipment, or complex parts and tired of jumping between short-term roles?” “Do you have extensive hand tool experience within a manufacturing/engineering or assembly environment?” We’re urgently recruiting experienced Semi-skilled Assembly fitters for a world-renowned engineering business with a proud legacy dating back to the 1930s based in Wortley. About the Business Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of cutting-edge machinery used in food and beverage can production. With facilities in the UK, US, and China, and more than 3,000 machines operating worldwide, this business combines heritage, innovation, and excellence. Their equipment powers some of the world’s most recognisable brands—and you can be part of it. The Role: You’ll be assembling and testing complex, high-precision OEM machinery in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Key responsibilities include: * Building Sub assembly’s using standard sop’s and fixtures. * Preparing components for painting (washing and masking) * Preparing painted components before assembly, such as re-tapping, reaming, and preparing machine surfaces. * Marking off, drilling, and tapping. * Fitting exterior equipment: examples include nameplates, labels, guard switches, guarding, hydraulic hoses, and auxiliary pumps. * Routing steel and nylon pipework as directed. * Fitting of non-electrical machine services before testing. * Non-electrical stripping of machines before despatch.
