Location: Leeds

Salary: £29,750

Hours: Working hours typically Mon-Thu 7:30am-4:15pm & Fri 7:30am 1:00pm. However where necessary, staggered start times from 6am to support the assembly department.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental & Facilities Labourer to support site operations. This role is essential in ensuring waste streams are effectively managed, materials are moved safely across the facility, and the site remains clean, organised, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control waste streams including oil, coolant, and general waste in line with HSE standards
  • Transport oil and coolant safely between storage areas and operational build bays
  • Carry out waste segregation and support recycling processes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of both internal and external areas of the site
  • Support stores with delivery and scanning of parts to production areas
  • Collect and return empty boxes, pallets, and trolleys to designated locations
  • Assist tool stores and wider site operations as required
  • Support the movement of equipment within assembly areas
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties within your training and capability

About You

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or assembly environment (preferred)
  • Awareness of safe working practices in an industrial setting
  • Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable not essential)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping
