We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established, precision engineering manufacturer based in Cross Hills, North Yorkshire. The Role
You'll be working as part of a close-knit machining team on a straightforward day shift pattern, operating and setting CNC machinery to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and is looking for a stable, long-term position within a quality-focused engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, setting, editing, operating and monitoring CNC machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Carrying out in-process quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerances
- Identifying and resolving machining issues as they arise
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to program, set, edit and operate CNC machines with confidence
- Competent in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment
- A reliable, conscientious approach with high personal standards
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
