We are looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Inspector to take fully assembled machines from handover, through ‘power up’, test and adjust to machine shipment. You will do this by attending customers site to install and carry out service duties.

About the job:
In the role you will:
- Check the machine is built to the customers specifications as detailed within the Factory Order.
- Fault find and diagnose machine set-up and process issues.
- Carry out the tasks on the inspection check list, problem solving and making mechanical and program adjustments where required.
- Ensure that the machine is prepared for customer demonstration and carry out machine demonstrations to the customer during machine acceptance.
- Work with the engineering & build team in the completion of any internal or customer nonconformances, to support a closed loop feedback and prevent reoccurrence.
- Produce the shipment list and oversee the machine shipment as it leaves plant.
- Complete the inspection documentation and final report.
- When required install, test and commission the machine on customers site dealing with nonconformances during the re-build and commissioning phase.
About you:
- NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- A mechanical qualification also would be highly advantageous, however is not essential.
- A knowledge of machine tools is essential.
- Experienced in Soft PLC to iec61131
- Understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
- Knowledge of grinding processes is highly desirable but full training will be given.
- Willingness and ability to travel for the service/aftermarket departments when required.
- Ability to be flexible in working time; on occasion there will be a requirement to work different shifts and overtime.
