Cubed Talent are pleased to be recruiting for a Toolmaker/CNC miller to join our client based in Cleckheaton. Our client is a long standing, established engineering business who are experts in their field. A real family-feel company where everyone gets involved to get projects out on time, they pride themselves on their commitment to their client base. They are currently looking for a toolmaker/Miller to join their current team to ensure all tools are kept in good working order to enable production to meet its requirements and to ensure all modifications or repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- The position will involve the manufacture, modification, repair and refurbishment of all types of tooling.
- To be considered for the position you must have hands-on experience in at least CNC milling or fitting & also experience in any of the following:
- To be conversant with CNC milling or fitting.
- Turning, spark eroding, wire eroding advantageous.
- Training will be available to learn other skills if required.
- Manufacture new tools to detailed drawings.
- To repair and maintain mould tools.
- To be able to successfully modify tools to drawing.
- Modifications to existing tools.
- Day to day service and repair of existing tools - Support of production tooling.
The Person
- The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience to offer:
- Time served toolmaker or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding would be advantageous.
- Experience of building tools from start to finish.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems.
- Fault finding skills and experience.
- Experience of interpreting engineering drawings.
- Used to working to tight deadlines.
- Experienced in the operation of some of the following: lathes, millers, grinders, CNC machines, Wire EDM and other standard tool room machinery and equipment.
- Driving license would be preferred as may be required to deliver tools occasionally but not necessary.
Hours and benefits:
- Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5.00pm. Friday 8am-12pm (Open to conversations around flexibility).
- Overtime is available as & when required.
- 33 Days holiday (including Bank Holidays).
- £31,616 - £33,592 per annum dependant on experience.
