This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
- As an integral member of the management team, you will actively contribute to daily production activities to meet SQCDP objectives.
- You will lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, ensuring adherence to industry standards and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering reduced costs, enhanced efficiency, and uncompromising quality.

The Role
- Ensure all health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Prepare and share detailed quality reports, highlighting areas for improvement and tracking progress.
- Ensure all personnel are adequately trained to deliver quality processes.
- Guarantee suitable equipment is available and maintained for quality requirements.
- Drive effective supplier (Sub-Con) development to minimise non-compliance, cost, and delivery issues.
- Champion APQP/PPAP capabilities within NPI and production processes.
- Oversee FAIRs for NPI, process changes, and production requests.
- Challenge existing processes to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and cost control.
- Monitor product measurement equipment to ensure timely calibration in line with QMS standards.
- Ensure all international, national, and customer specifications and standards are up to date and accessible.
- Stay abreast of innovations, quality practices, and industry trends to continually improve systems.
- Provide quality team input to daily production dojo sessions.
- Identify and manage the notification process for any non-compliant product escapes to customers.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or substantial experience in an engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams.
- A genuine passion for quality management and commitment to staying current with industry standards and regulations.
